After printing, start to polish the surface first with coarser sanding papers and continue to the finer ones. For a hearty gloss you can also use polishing paste for metal or grinding brushes.

Due to the large proportion of the metal, the surface of the model after printing from Steelfill matt almost as a laser sintered surface. During grinding and polishing, however, the steel particles begin to shine and glitter, which gives the prints a very unusual appearance. The weight of the material is also about three times heavier than the classic PLALAMENT.

Due to the high steel content of Steelfill, this fiber is too abrasive for printing with a brass nozzle. Therefore, we recommend printing with toughened nozzles best with a diameter of 0.5 mm and higher.
