PVA+ (polyvinyl alcohol) is a water-soluble filament most used as a support material for 3D printing
PrimaSELECT™ PVA+ (polyvinyl alcohol) is a water-soluble filament most used as a support material for 3D printing. PVA looks slightly transparent when processed and has a slight yellow hue. It is most processed with dual-extruder 3D printers. Here, one extruder processes a primary material (such as ABS or PLA). The other processes this easily dissolvable filament. This is used to produce a support for overhanging object components.
Key material properties PrimaSELECT™ PVA+ (polyvinyl alcohol):
- 3D print using PVA+ as a support material
- Water soluble support filament – Resolves easily
- Support material for PLA, ABS & PETG
- Quality product for highest standards
The optimized composition of PrimaSELECT PVA+ is more stable than conventional PVA. This also means that it adheres to PLA, ABS and PETG much better than regular PVA.
Perfect Support material for PLA, ABS & PETG
PrimaSELECT PVA+ is the perfect support material for PLA, ABS and PETG because it is water soluble. 3D print very complex 3D prints with this support material. For example, if you need an object that is hollow inside. Fabricate with two extruders and then simply place the finished object in water and watch the support material dissolve.
How to process PVA+
When processing PrimaSELECT PVA+, we recommend that you use a heated print bed. Set your heated bed to ± 80-90 ° C for best results and adhesion.
PrimaSELECT PVA+ adheres well to BuildTak or to a glass plate coated with adhesive spray or glue stick.
PrimaSELECT PVA+ is supplied on a transparent spool. Included in the delivery are 500 g of high-quality filament. It is packed in a sturdy box and with dehumidifier. This avoids the drawing of moisture.
PrimaSELECT PVA+ is available in diameter sizes of 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm.
Our state-of-the-art factory is equipped with the latest laser measurement technology. This ensures you get a spool with very low diameter variation and tolerance. With PVA+, buy a filament that is compatible with most 3D printers on the market.
