A great alternative to silicone
LDPE is a practical option for mould-making, especially for resin casting and fine detail applications. While silicone moulds wear out after around 20 uses, LDPE moulds can last for hundreds of cycles or even be used permanently. This makes them a cost-effective choice for frequent use.
Things to keep in mind
LDPE is sensitive to high forming pressure and may break if the pressure exceeds 60 kPa. To avoid this, it’s recommended to reduce suction power and use microporous forming bed add-ons.
With its unique non-stick properties and long-lasting durability, LDPE is a reliable material for many creative and industrial applications.
